Leaving Fear Behind and Playing Large in Life

Leaving Fear Behind and Playing Large in Life

Joe Robinson 1 Comment

Have you been on a beach trip lately? Did you roll down the car windows to smell the salt air as you approached your destination?  Well then, like most folks, the first sight of the ocean, the first smell of the ocean, and of course the first time you put your feet in the sand is similar to having that Calgon moment of “take me away”! Did you find yourself playing large while you were on this vacation?  Maybe you rented a jet ski or went parasailing or learned to scuba dive? Why is it that we seem to put fear aside while on vacation?

Is Fear Holding you back?

So often in our daily routine,  fear holds us back from embracing life and letting ourselves shine. What is it we are afraid of? It seems that our brains associate all of those lessons we were taught on how to behave in certain situations and we follow those rules. The only time we might allow ourselves to depart from those expectations is once again during a socially acceptable and learned behavior situation called a vacation! We seem to abandon or even overcome some of our fears as we try new things and open ourselves to new experiences. Why don’t we live life like that every day?

Go for it!

I wonder how leaving fear behind as we move fear to flow today, not a vacation day, will help you be that bright shining light and all that that entails. Think about these questions as we move together to embrace our uniqueness and celebrate our differences.

  1. Can you tell me what would happen if you risked more, not less, even if you failed on a daily basis?
  2. What would happen if you let yourself be open and vulnerable, sharing your true thoughts and feelings, even if others don’t agree?
  3. Think about what kind of a world would you find yourself surrounded in?

Perhaps it would be the world where we are all encouraged to live authentically. The world where we are leaving our fears behind!

Join me in the ocean water as our captive little fish knows how to play large in life.

Joe! I appreciate this post! Fear holds many back from experiencing the unique freedoms that we each individually can embrace. Thanks for getting us all resetting our mindset! Big love (and LOVE the new website and all you are doing!) ~D Be You and Thrive
